The Yale building is one of Chicago’s best architectural hidden gems. Designed by John T. Long in 1892, The Yale is a seven-story building in the Englewood neighborhood of the south side of Chicago. The Yale is located at 6565 S Yale Ave, Chicago, IL 60621. The style of The Yale is known as Richardsonian Romanesque. Back in the day, it allowed visitors to stay in its luxury apartments during the World’s Columbia Exposition of 1893. It’s pretty similar to a building in Lincoln park called the Brewster Building. When you walk into The Yale, it almost seems like you’re in the New Orleans French Quarter. The yellow and green colors, hanging vibes, and stunning fountains give you French Mardi Gras jungle-like vibes. This is considered to be a landmark building as of April 9th, 2003. It was renovated and transformed into apartments for seniors in 2003. This building is considered to be a residential high-rise. One of the best parts about The Yale is its large atrium skylight. It’s made out of both glass and metal. There is a top floor penthouse apartment with a staircase that leads to the rooftop.  This building is located about 15 minutes from downtown Chicago.
