Pendry Chicago
The Pendry Hotel in Chicago’s Loop neighborhood is located in the iconic Carbide and Carbon Building. The building can be seen in the Chicago skyline as the building with gold on top. It’s also known as the champagne building, as it’s made with granite, terracotta, golf leaf, and bronze. It closely resembles the colors of the fancy Perrier-Jouet bottle of champagne. The 37-story landmark was built in 1929, being one of the coolest of Chicago’s architectural structures. Formerly the Hard Rock Hotel, The Pendry Hotel has is now the hotel inside The Carbide and Carbon Building. Located on Michigan Avenue, steps away from the Chicago River, The Bean, and other tourist attractions, The Pendry is one of the nicest hotels you can stay at in The Loop neighborhood. Attached to it is an upscale French restaurant called Venteux, which also has a daytime cafe in the front where you can get coffee and pastries.
